In many ways, the Learning Centre is the heart of our school. From a student's first day, with intake, testing, and orientation, to their final day, with each student writing an evaluation and exit test, school life is interwoven with time spent in this special room. The Learning Centre is our school library and self-study area, but is also so much more. With a dedicated staff member tailoring resources to the needs of each individual student, the room is a repository of useful study materials. From textbooks to handouts to movies to magazines, all are available for students to borrow or to have upon request. The Learning Centre also plays host to our weekly study and conversation clubs. In recent weeks and months, we have taught each other origami, made wallets, played board games, and shared stories and laughs. In the Learning Centre, there's always something new to learn and do.

Eurocentres Vancouver Celebration

Back in 1990 when people were listening to Mc Hammer on their Sony Discmans and wearing Reebok pumps, Eurocentres Vancouver was officially born (known as Vancouver Maple Leaf College at the time). So here in Vancouver we did what we do best and threw an awesome 20-year anniversary party and invited everyone to come celebrate with us in the stunning Stanley Park on Aug 6, 2010.

The party was a hit! We had beautiful sunny summer weather, freshly caught wild B.C Salmon cooked on BBQs, fun & games, and almost 150 students, staff, friends and old and new Eurocentres faces turned up! Those who couldn’t make it, sent their best wishes and those who could, got to enjoy the 90s inspired music (thank you Michael .Jackson & friends), relay games (I’ve never seen students move so fast!) and some cool prizes.

All in all, the party was a great success and everybody who helped organize and participated did a great job and had a great time. We can’t wait for the next one!

Eurocentres Toronto Celebration

On Aug 20, 2010, Eurocentres Toronto made its way to Toronto's largest and most beautiful park, the aptly named High Park, for what was, by all accounts, the best darned barbeque this side of the Rocky Mountains.

The barbeque was a celebration of Eurocentres Canada's 20th anniversary, as well as a chance to ring out the summer and to say goodbye to our 2010 Spanish summer group and graduates. TNT Tours kindly handled the food, a wonderful spread of hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, cake, watermelon, and pop. We played silly games, soccer, football, Frisbee, hacky sack, and just generally enjoyed the gorgeous Toronto weather. Congratulations as well to all of our raffle winners. Enjoy your prizes of Canadian souvenirs and tours! It was truly a wonderful afternoon and evening, not to be soon forgotten.
