A new year is upon us and we couldn't be more thrilled at Eurocentres Toronto!

There is always something to do in our fine city, but this year is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. Here is just a sampling of the things we have to look forward to:

Summerlicious 2011 - Every year, restaurants across the city celebrate summer by offering special fixed price menus featuring many of their most popular dishes. Yum!

TD Toronto Jazz Festival - The world's best jazz, from classics to contemporary, all over our city!

Toronto International Film Festival - Every autumn, Hollywood comes north to celebrate filmmaking and cinema. Have your autograph book at the ready; you never know who you might see!

North by Northwest Festival - Toronto's biggest celebration of rock and roll.

Canadian National Exhibition - Rides, food and fun await you as Canada shows all it has to offer and invites you to join in the fun! Come early and stay late.

Taste of the Danforth - Food, food, food! Whether you're in the mood for Greek, Thai, or Indian, this annual street festival, which attracts hundreds of thousands, is not to be missed!

Buskerfest - Jugglers, jesters, musicians, and more. Prepare to be entertained!

Ultimate Fighting Championships - Fists of fury and a belt to be won. Who will walk away with the prize?

Much Music Video Awards 2011 - The biggest names in music, all on one stage, for one night only!

“Ho ho ho” it’s Christmas time at Eurocentres and what a busy month it has been. Students have been working feverishly for the last few weeks, preparing for the FCE & CAE Cambridge. The December exams were challenging, but the examinees surfaced with smiles and relieved looks on their faces. However, they also found time to relax and celebrate the festive season with everyone else in style.

Last week we threw our traditional Christmas party and transformed the school into a fusion of Santa’s Grotto and a nightclub. The food rocked and the international DJ’s (A.K.A the teachers & the students) even more so, so much that it looked like an audition for ‘So You Think You Can Dance Canada’ on the dance floor!

As well as the partying, this month has seen a hive of activity all over Vancouver. Students have constructed (and mainly eaten) gingerbread houses, been ice skating (or ice falling!), visited Christmas markets and chased their teacher down the slopes of Grouse mountain on snowboards…we can’t wait to see what next year brings!!!!!
