Cupid visits Eurocentres Canada & Cambridge results arrive

As January ended and February began Eurocentres Canada students from Vancouver and Toronto received their results from the December FCE & CAE Cambridge Examinations. After waiting with anticipation and nerves for a few weeks, the moment came where they opened their envelopes and they got to see how all their hard work and preparation had paid off. Students were facebooking, texting and emailing their results and it was another successful exam period for all our students. Everyone got great grades and showed dramatic improvements, well done guys!! Currently, here at our Eurocentres Vancouver & Toronto testing centres it’s only one month until the next exam date. So, we’re pushing the English language learning to the max and hoping for another successful exam period. Furthermore, during this period of hard work we also got a surprise visit from Cupid, who sent ‘candy-grams’ to different people from their secret admirers. Love was definitely in the air and cupid was kept very busy during that valentine’s period, I still wish I knew who ‘Anon’ was.

Climbing, Curling & Catching a Hockey game

January and February have been great months for learning English in Vancouver. Not only do we have a plethora of different nationalities studying a 2nd language here in Canada, and therefore many friends to make, but there is so much to do in British Columbia in the winter. As well as taking lessons in English and enjoying the mountainous outdoors, our students have been enjoying their indoor activities too. In the last few weeks they’ve tried many things; like testing their Olympic curling skills (might need a few more tries!!!), climbing indoors, visiting the fantastic exhibitions, such as Bodyworks, and cheering on the local hockey teams (the Vancouver Canucks and Vancouver Giants). These are just a few of the awesome adventures you can have in Vancouver when studying a second language (ESL).
