Saudi culture, Flipper & a Spanish affair
It’s been a busy week here in Vancouver! This week Vincent the teacher set off to sunny Spain to brush up on his Spanish and spread Canadian English to the streets of Seville. We’ll miss him, but wish him good luck (especially when dodging those charging bulls in Pampalona!). Thursday was the Saudi National Day celebration held by the Saudi Students Society, this was a fantastic introduction to their culture, food & much more!! Students from all different countries & schools (of course including many from ours) attended and enjoyed the event & insight into life in Saudi Arabia. Last but certainly not least, Wednesday was the Vancouver Aquarium visit. It was such a success and the students felt so comfortable that one decided to ask Flipper the dolphin for directions, when he didn’t know the answer she gave him (dropped) a map in his tank for clarification!!!
