Work Study Internship Program by Eurocentres Canada

One of the unique experiences offered by Eurocentres Canada is the chance to work for a Canadian company, gaining invaluable international work experience, following the completion of an English course of study. In the past year, we have arranged internships for students from countries all over the world, including Syria, Japan, Brazil, Russia, and Mexico, to name a few. We work diligently to ensure that our students internships are tailored to their past work experience, field of study, aspirations, and interests. Our students have benefited greatly from their experiences in a range of industries, from tourism to client services, human resources to architecture.

Here is what one of our recent graduates had to say about his internship experience:

"My name is Mohamed, 21 from Syria. I’ve finished four years of studying Architecture and I’ve trained at many architectural firms in Syria, but I wanted to achieve more.

My goal is to complete my studies abroad and gain the Master degree in Canada next year, However, I needed to cope with the Canadian atmosphere in general and have a clear idea about architecture in Canada, Therefore I came to Eurocentres Toronto because they offer a course called “English + Work experience” which I think is very useful for my situation. Because I can get two advantages. On one hand improve my English and on the other hand I’ll get the Canadian experience and learn how Canadian architects conduct business and deal with issues.

I spent the first month by just going to school and improving my English. At the same time the center’s manager “Nadya” was searching for a suitable place for doing my internship and setting up interviews with companies and finally she found a very good position for me.

On the second month I started my internship in a very well-known development company in Toronto, My initial feeling was really great honestly contrary to what I expected and everybody was friendly, helpful and cooperator.

Now I’m at the end of my internship at I’m really sad because I want to stay more. I feel at my home although I’m very far away from my country.

It’s really a perfect and a sufficient experience for any field not only architecture and I do indeed advice it for everyone. Because you will get your English terminology improved besides that your skills and the way you manage your profession will dramatically grow.

Finally I’d like to thank every single person who helped me in this “adventure” as I prefer to describe it, and especially Eurocentres Toronto.

Yours sincerely,
Mohamed Anis"
